Order picker LIDL distribution center (food) – Freezer Dept.
We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Order Picker to work in a cold storage environment, where temperatures reach -20°C. This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Saturday, totaling 40 hours per week. The role involves manual order picking in a freezing warehouse and requires comfort with working in low temperatures. Employment is year-round, and the salary is determined based on age and experience.
What are you going to do?
Picking orders using an electric pallet truck (EPT)
Operating a voice-controlled picking system
Verifying order accuracy, including quantities and checking for defects
Preparing orders for shipment by stacking goods and securely wrapping pallets with plastic
What do we offer you?
Hourly rate: €16.70 (for candidates aged 21 and above), which includes:
Freezing allowance: 8% (€1.15)
ADV allowance: 1.08% (€1.15)
Who are you?
- Comfortable working in a freezing environment (up to -25°C) – special thermal clothing is provided
- English communication skills: Level 3
- Previous order picking experience, preferably in the food industry
- Driving licence and willingness to transport colleagues to work
- Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing tasks
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Accurate and detail-oriented in performing tasks
- High standards for the quality of work delivered
- Reliable, responsible, and committed
- Mature and sociable personality
- Able to work independently as well as in a small team
- Physically strong and capable of handling manual tasks
- Willing to stay for a long-term period, available year-round
